我看过很多遍电影《天国王朝》（Kingdom of Heaven ），有句台词： God wills it! 是十字军打鸡血用的口号，我做过这电影的字幕，当时译为“这是上帝的意旨”，昨天查词典遇到“天意如此”，觉得更为妥帖。

当然，所谓“天意”也不过是任人装扮的小姑娘。
